Hi All
They did the SPA jet plumbing. Please review the attached picture.
details:
SPA jet will have dedicated pump
Total Jet: 8
main drain 21/2”
return line 21/2”.
set manufacturer: Hayward
Eyeball size: 3/4”
My concern is did the plumbing size inside the SPA water loop and air loop. They used 11/2” plumbing for water loop and air loop. Is this correct for 8 jets. Should I ask them to change it to 21/2“ for water loop and air loop. Please advise me.
Thanks

What you have will probably work ok with a dedicated spa jet pump.

What model spa jet pump will you have?

Having 2” or 2.5” lines will give a better flow to the jets. You want 10+ gpm to each jet or 80+ gpm for the 8 jets. That is pushing it in a 1.5” line.

Thank you for your time to respond my question/concern. I plan to purchase PentAir XF variable speed pump as a dedicated pump for spa jets. I’ll be happy to listen to your pump recommendation.

The Pentair Intelliflo XF pump is designed for 2 1/2 or 3 inch piping. It has a high flow rate but you need the larger pipes to utilize the pump capacity you are getting.
