First time I am opening our iij inground pool. Got the automatic cover clean and off. Water level good. Plugs out. Put water in the basket near pump. Opened main and one skimmer partially. Put it on filter. Turned it on. Started whining (all new parts this year and new sand) waited a few and turned it off. Help!

Is the pump strainer pot filling up with water under the clear lid? Is the O-ring under the lid lubed? Those white valves before the pump look mostly closed. Fully open should be a vertical position.
