My inground fibreglass pool has finally started today with the dig. I’ve spent the last year reading has many posts as possible, and educating myself in water chemistry. There is so much knowledge here it’s such a great resource. I’ll post photos of the build as it progresses.
thanks,

It took about two days to excavate the entire yard and dig out the pool. Today they will be putting the final touches on the shape of the pool, adding p stone to the base and putting in a sump pump to drain ground water. The pool gets delivered after lunch and they will be craning the pool over my house (yikes) and putting the pool in place. Then they will add water as they back fill and likely job done for another day.

Pool is coming along nicely. So much gravel and p stone brought in. Coping went on early this week and pool cabana started. Fence starts tomorrow and cement patio/decking is going in Thursday.

Cement and cabana under way. Lots of landscaping, clean up and little things left to do. Shouldn’t be long now.

R u putting the equipment inside the cabana?
No all the equipment is going on a 12x4 foot pad on the side of my house. The equipment pad is big enough that I could build a structure around it to shelter it, I just haven’t decided or educated myself enough yet to determine if that’s worth it or not. Still an option though. The cabana is going to be for a fridge, change room, and storage of pool toys, floaters, towels, etc. It’s 15 feet wide and 24 feet long. We have zero shad and no trees so it should add some nice shade. (also going to put a tv under the cabana) wife says it’s unnecessary but I think I’d be a fool not to lol.

Still moving along with the pool. Landscaping has started, PB is starting to clean up the water, all equipment gets fired up tomorrow. Another few days and it’ll be all done. I got the Taylor K2006c so u can start doing my own water once the PB is gone...... but I don’t think it has a salt water test and I can’t find anything in Ontario to test salt water besides the strips. Any thoughts?

thanks
Ed
