Should I seal bottom of my screen enclosure with caulk/silicone?

Our pavers have a bit of a texture to them which creates a small gap between the enclosure frame and the pavers. We have a significant number of gnats / ants inside the screen each morning and I am assuming they are coming in under the screen enclosure: Video of the gnats collecting in our skimmer

We went with the 20/20 screen to keep gnats and no-see-ums out.

I am considering adding a bead of caulk around the outside of the enclosure, is this a good idea? Would I be blocking the path of rainwater leaving the pool deck?

Ants build "farms" under the pavers and will show up anywhere they find food. You could caulk but I agree with revitup that insecticide is needed. Boric acid or even DE could work.
We've had ants build nests under the pavers and insecticide was the only thing that got rid of them.

mariane-- we are having issues with ants coming up through our pavers and even around the edge of our coping.
Since it's a 3-4 foot width for the pavers/coping, what do you suggest for putting something down to get rid of them, which will also not get into the pool water?
I am hesitant to spray something on the pavers since people walk on it barefoot and I don't want to expose them, or myself, to the chemicals.

These guys are best I’ve found, board range of products and helpful - call them

It may work if you do 80 or 90% and leave some areas where water could escape.. ??

how tall is the area just above where you want to put the caulk?

Do you have a picture of the area that they are coming through?
