How often to clean pump strainer basket and relieve pressure from the valve in filter?

Hard to tell by the picture but looks ok. I put a rock inside mine to hold it down.
They catch a lot of junk, I added them back to the mine now that the bigger stuff stopped falling.

I’m with you, I’ve never had so much gunk hitting my pool! Having to change hairnets every other day right now.
