I am just wondering if my skimmer valve settings are correct? Our pool skimmer pressure is low, this is a new problem, not sure if the setting were changed by one of the family members. Have played around with them, and we only get a lot of pressure when we close off one. Please see picture attached with the blue arrow for our current settings.
thank you!

T,

Just so you know, every valve you have is set to wide open in your pic.

I am not sure what your actual problem is, as skimmers do not have "pressure".. Are you talking about the pressure that you see on the filter gauge?

Are your skimmers not working? Is the water flow back to your pool weak? Other than "pressure" what problems are you having?

When was the last time you backwashed your filter??

Try the following and tell us what happens to your pressure, what happens to the flow back to the pool, and what do you see looking into the pump lid??

1. Turn off the main drain by turning the valve on the left so that the handle is pointed toward the pump. What happens.

2. Leave the main drain off and turn the middle valve so that the handle points toward your green wall. This will turn off Skimmer #1. What happens?

3. Leave the main drain off and turn the middle valve so that the handle points toward your brown wall. This will turn on Skimmer #1 and turn off Skimmer #2. What happens?

4. Turn the valve on the left so that the handle is pointed toward your brown wall.. This will shut off both skimmers and turn on your main drain. What happens?

5. Put the valves back to where they are in your pic.

Please let us know what you find..

Thanks,

Jim R.
