Intex Pool without Support for the Legs

Hi there,

I recently got a new home with an Intex 12'x24'x52" already built in the backyard. It's probably been there for 2 maybe 3 years (I'm guessing based on talking to the neighbors and the little squares on the inside liner have worn away which I'm guessing is a sign it's been up for a few summers). The pool is reasonably level, maybe about an inch off in some areas but not enough cause (IMO) to drain and rebuild. The issue I'm worried about is that they didn't set the legs on any solid support, no pavers, no PT lumber. They did build a wooden sand box on top of the soil quite a bit bigger than the pool with supports and filled it with coarse sand, then placed the pool on top of that (Pics attached). The sand is 3.5 inches deep. Will this be fine? Should I try to somehow get a paver or 2x8 underneath each leg one a time, or does this warrant draining the pool and adding this solid support under each leg? My drain/fill situation is not good, I've no where to put the water other than french drain to the street, so I'd prefer to not do that at all costs. But understand if it's absolutely necessary. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

If it is not broken then don't fix it. I would not touch the pool supports until it shows a problem. Just note the way it is level now. As long as it stays that way you are good.

Amen to that. If it hasn’t been a problem yet, I wouldn’t mess with it!

You don't want to go messingwith trying to slide a paver under those legs anyway because once you start digging around them, they will sink. Leave it alone.
