New IG build - San Diego CA - plaster complete 2/24/2020!!

Some progress was made today. Gas and electric was hooked up. Solar heater was put in, these guys were quick. They finished in less then half a day. Fingers crossed that by next week we can put plaster in.

I forgot to add that I used the tf100 on the fill water. This was a lot more fun than I thought it would be! But I have no idea what any of this means yet.

My results
Fc - .5
Cc - 2
TC - 2.5
CH - 175-200
TA - 130-140

Those numbers are greek to me! But wow, your fence looks awesome, and the pool equipment placement is very thoughtfully designed. That's a lot of solar panels! I was told by my PB it was best to wait to install solar until after the pool's finished but I can't remember why, or if he even had a good reason. Congrats on all the progress!

Do you have a CYA test you can report? Or perhaps you have not added any CYA? I don't know how far North or South Vista, CA is so describe your winter climate and I'll respond right back. For sure, be prepared to add some chlorine.

Oops! I misread your post. I overlooked it was fill water and not pool water. Those numbers mean you likely will have very little problems with your pool water but post up your pH so we can confirm that.

Thanks! Yeah

Yes it is fill water. But that sounds like good news! The only test for PH I could find was one that came in the little blue box that you compare the colors. But it was showing at about 7.8.

That's good fill water. You will need very little adjustment.

When your pool is full, plan on adding adequate chlorine to get to about 5 ppm and CYA to get to around 40 ppm for now.

Please read "The "ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry" up in Pool School....thoroughly

It means you're in line, and when ever your pH goes above your needs you'll use a bit of muriactic acid (never use dry acid as its bad for both plaster and SWGs) and it will have a side benefit of bringing your TA down should you need.

Wow, this has been one of my favorite transformations. I'll be honest, I was a bit worried about you in your first few posts with the crayola drawings, and then I got really nervous when they framed out your pool and there is literally a street sign 6 inches away. Great job!

Haha thank you! All of my neighbors thought I was crazy and I have had a lot of people say it wouldn't be possible but everyone has come by and said omg it's amazing I didn't beleive it! But I absolutely love it and am excited to decorate it and get the area set up.
