So my waterfall pump didnt run the last time I tried to turn it on...I dont really like running it as it just drops dirt into my pool. Anyway it wouldnt come on so I figured the capacitor was out.
I replaced the capacitor while working on my other pump motor and now the pump runs but it wouldnt prime...so I poured water into the where the basket was and the water just ran out from under the motor...so I am sure I needed a shaft seal.
Once I took the motor apart, the impeller was sitting off to the side...some of the internal screws had corroded apart. Where do I get these screws and what are they called? I am going to order a seal kit and these screws which hopefully solves my problem.
As far as the capacitor, the one I bought is the same voltage but the housing is bigger and will not fit into the cover.....Does anyone know where to get the right size housing or should I just buy a bigger shell to put on this motor?
