So my pool is an intex metal frame 15’ round by 42” 3,861 gallons. Without knowing and realizing after it’s now all set up to run, reading the directions I notice I bought too big of a filter. I got the intex Krystal Clear sand filter pump 3000gph 16in. I proceed to the operating time table and there is a (-) in the space for the running .. this let me know that I bought the wrong size.. can I still use this size pump? And if so then what should my operating time be? Another quick question how far back does my filter need to be? (Posted a pick)

It's fine that the filter is over sized. Run it the same amount of time you otherwise would.
Thank you but that’s the thing .. this is my first time with a pool so I don’t know about these things and the cartridge filter that came with the pool ran all the time.. unless I wasn’t suppose to run it all the time lol
