Is 4th of july a good time to buy patio furniture? Or better to wait until after summer is done? I did some searches today but I guess 4th of july sales arent up yet? Or maybe the sale prices are just this crazy. Mainly looking for a round 42" to 50" table with umbrella and 4 to 6 chairs. Want to pay around $1500. Never bought patio furniture before, so any tips welcome.

This is a crazy year in retail and the typical patterns do not apply. With retailers shutdown for a few months, especially in NYC, they may be hoping demand is backed up and will not be so quick to put things on sale. Some will want to clear out inventory and raise cash while others will hold the inventory until next year.

Pool stuff and home improvement is where people are spending money while being stuck at home for the summer. Things may get sold out before prices fall and things go on sale.

Retailers have gotten savvy over the years. They buy the seasonal goods at or below the amount they expect to sell for that year. If they have any left, they put it away for the following year.
Now, with that being said, I’m thinking the fall will be a good time to buy patio furniture, as companies are/were shut down due to COVID-19, and they need to generate revenue to make up for lost dollars.
The best thing you can do is....
If you know what set you’re interested in, get a price checker app or website to alert you when a price drops. CamelCamel is a site I use to monitor sites like Amazon on things I would like to purchase.

We bought our 60" aluminum table online (Patio Living) with Free Delivery, in August. Picked up 4 table chairs at Lowes, a few stacking Red chairs from HD as accents. Seating for 8 for around 1200 bucks. Same thing from the local Patio Store 3 grand Plus.
