Diving Board Replacement

My 6' diving board slightly cracked on memorial day weekend. It's an INTER-FAB which has been bought out by SR Smith. The issue I'm having is that my old board has 10" spacing between the 2 bolt holes and it's much harder to find. Where as the 12" bolt spacing board is easier to find and cheaper. My question is, can I simply purchase the 12" bolt hole board and drill holes to match my old board? I have attached a picture of my old board.

You probably should not modify the base either without approval from the manufacturer.

Diving boards can be a huge liability.

Do everything to code and per manufacturer instructions.

EDIT: The SR Smith catalog has a 10" bolt hole model (the 6' Frontier III) or, if discontinued, you may be able to get a custom drilled board:

Is the USA Pool Direct still open? I can't get an answer from them.
