So, after 2 years of research, and prep work, and lots of reading, I can finally post my results. Here is my project: a new 15x30x54" Sharkline Matrix with all Circupool hydraulics. This site was originally filled with multiple trees and an aging deck (which was not properly flashed to the house, leading to rotten sill plates!). We demoed the deck, and hired someone to pull the tree stumps, and create a flat area for the pool. I built the deck last summer, and purchased all of the pool equip. Unfortunately it all sat in the garage for a full season, as I was not comfortable dropping 88000 lbs of water on freshly leveled soil, even though the mini excavator did a good job of packing the area. I let the soil compact over the winter, figuring a good freeze/thaw cycle of two would help compact everything. Once we got around to spring this year, I made the decision to hire out the pool install, and I am super happy I did. The installers were fantastic, and packed/leveled everything. They set the pavers with a laser level, and were accurate to within a 1/8". They did the liner, and we filled the pool over the course of 2 weeks while I did the plumbing and electrical. I tried to plan for the future, allowing for a potential future heat pump in the plumbing lines, and at the electrical panel. I just finished the railings, and we made a sliding opening with a removable post for access. I currently test with strips, but am looking to get a solid chemical test kit shortly. Water looks great, and it was a satisfying (albeit cold) first dip in the water! Will post as many pics as I can. I am grateful for the community and the knowledge gained here as I read many threads over the different forums. There are no two situations that are exactly alike, but a little here, and a little there adds up to a lot!
