Improve circulation

Hi
My pool has 1 surface skimmer and 1 return. I'm not sure if it is effectively circulating. I connected a hose to the skimmer suction hole and dropped the other end attached to a brush into the deep end. Will this give me a better circulation? Doing a slam right now and want to ensure there is a good circulation.

With one return you just need to brush more often. In a SLAM, you should be brushing the pool a couple times per day, at least.

With that hose, you lose the benefits of a skimmer basket to trap leaves and other debris.

yes I brush 3 times during slam

Yes, this is just a temp solution during slam (if it improves circulation). and I keep the pool covered fully

Can you re-aim the eyeball? If so, point it down at the deep part. That will get all the deep debris stirred up so the skimmer can grab it. You'll flow more water through the skimmer than through that narrow twisty hose.
