Hoping someone might tell me what I can test or what I need to replace. Started pool yesterday and pump was running great and it had run almost 24 hours when I noticed it had stopped working. No lights on the display. Intelichlor generator still has power. Checked power to the drive and have 250v.

Not sure what to look for as far as voltage to the keypad. Turned the impeller through the skimmer and it spins freely.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

Jim,

Tell us more.. Is your pump an IntelliFlo VS or a SuperFlo VS.. Is it a standalone pump or is it being controlled by automation?

Did you measure between L1 and L2 at the pump and have 240 VAC, or did you measure L1 to Ground and then L2 to Ground and add to two voltages together??

Thanks,

Jim R.

[/Stand alone pump, Intelliflo VS. I measured between L1 and L2 and have 250.

Jim,

Sorry to say that sounds like a bad control head...

I've seen a couple of threads on replacing the LCD, but there is no way to know if it is just the LCD or not.

If out of warranty, I would take the control head off and see if you can see anything obvious.

Do the buttons do anything at all?

No display lights at all. Buttons do nothing either. I was hoping there was a way to test the control pad but cannot find anything.
I opened the unit up and no apparent burns or bad electrical smell

By the control head, are you referring to the keypad control or what Pentair is calling the Drive Head ?

Drive Head with the keypad is $800. Whole unit, pump and all is $1200. Almost thinking I would be better off to buy the whole thing as the entire unit is about 7 years old. I had to replace the pump spring last year.
