Intex 24x12x52 Setup Questions

Hi All,
I’ve read through a bunch of other threads, but just want to make sure we are doing this right. We have the Intex ultra xtr 24x12x52 with sand system arriving this week. We live just outside of Boston, so this will be strictly seasonal. We normally belong to a pool in the summer, but I’m not sure it will open, so we are investing in an AGP for the summer.
We have mostly leveled the area, but still need to do more mork. After reading here, it seems like pavers for the supports and polystyrene foam underneath are the best plan.
I have two questions:
1. should we get the same depth of foam insulation as the pavers or slightly sink the pavers and match the foam to the sunk pavers height?
2. We got the sand filter and plan to use chlorine...it seems like most people use the salt system...is there any problem with using Chlorine?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this is our first time with an AGP.
Thanks!

You'll want to sink the pavers to be level with your ground. I cut the foam if I need to so that the pool leg is on the paver. I think I've seen others put the pool leg on the foam.
Chlorine : The salt generator turns salt into chlorine; it's just an easier way to get chlorine in to the pool rather than pouring it in each day. You can use liquid chlorine or plain bleach. Good luck with your project!!
