Hi Everyone,

Today we received our Inter 3000gph sand filter pump combo!!! After connection, we noticed the pressure gauge were not moving/reading? Should the gauge stay at 0? Also, after running the filter for 2hrs we checked on the progress and thewater follow to the basket was not filling up to the top or strong enough to do so? What can be the issue? How can we fix this?

thanks in advance!

Can you post a pic or perhaps a short video of it running? Sounds like your lid may not be sealing 100%. Easy to test usually you can just run a hose over the top while it is running and see if it fills. Did you lube the oring up?

"90", one other thing to check if you're still having that problem. Make sure you have the in & out hoses connected correctly. It's very common to get those mixed up on the pump/valve. :)

Welcome!
Thank you! When the connection to the pool took place we did have the hoses in the wrong place. ? switched them around, it’s running like a champ. The pressure gauge was unwrapped and has not moved at all. Today after running the pump all last night. We backwashed, rinsed and still no movement from the gauge.

Well, I suppose there's a couple things to consider:
1- If you can unscrew the gauge, check to make sure sand or something isn't blocking the gauge inlet hole
2- Call Intex and request a replacement gauge

If Intex gives you the runaround and/or you just want to replace it yourself, TFTestkits.net has outstanding gauges HERE.

This works and I replaced the gauge on my intex sand filter with one from TFTestkits.net, but be aware that the gauge on the intex filters have a 1/8 inch fitting and the ones on TFTestkits have a 1/4 inch fitting. You need to get an adapter to use an aftermarket gauge on an intex sand filter.
