I have the Hayward Aqua Connect and it works great going through their web server. I figured how to set up local control on my PC by typing in the IP address into the address bar to directly connect to my controller without going through the web server but I cant get to work using mobile Safari on my iPhone. When i type in the IP adress, it searches the web instead of going directly to my controller. Anyone know how to make this work?

You sure your iPhone is on the same IP network as your PC and Controller?

I’m not sure how to check what IP address it’s on. I just know I have a Wi-Fi connection to the same router the Hayward controller is on.

Some routers firewall different types of connections. Is your PC and Controller connected to WiFi or Ethernet cable?

What does your phone display when you put in the controller ip address?

That is not an IP address. An IP address is a string of numbers like 192.168.1.5

Safari sends that type of URL directly to its search engine. Your PC browser sends a query onto your network to see if any device responds. Windows has a network protocol for local device names that Apple IOS does not use.

Find the real IP address of your Controller and it will probably work.
