Received my TF 100 test kit yesterday and after some help from frogbog retested my water this morning. Thanks frogbog!
CYA - 80
FC - 17
CC - 0.5
TA - 120
PH - 7.5
CH - 25
My water is finally clear! Not sure if it’s crystal, but the best it’s looked since my aggravating bout of cloudy water started about 3-4 weeks ago! After finding this site, (which is so awesome by the way) I switched from stabilized chlorine tablets and powdered shock and clarifier and algaecide to liquid chlorine! Hallelujah!
Now my CYA will stop climbing!
Where I live in Hawaii, we do not have county water. We use catchment and dumping water needs to be done with a lot of planning as water comes from our “catchment tank” which is our household water source.
I would really appreciate advice on balancing my water and ideally would like to have FC at a much lower level. This is a picture of my pool this morning and a 6 inch black disc on the bottom. The pool is approximately 4 ft deep.
Thanks in advance!

Not trying to be a downer here, but I'd say that's still cloudy. Therefore, maintain SLAM FC levels, run filter, brush, and give it another day at least to clear out before running the OCLT. When it's clear, you'll notice a distinct difference. We're looking for "gin clear", crystal clear, you can tell heads or tails on a coin in the deep end clear.

The end is near, promise!

Thanks, will aim for the quarter test!
