Underway on large pool project... w/ pics

So maybe... that wasnt the plan... Thoughts are to put towel hooks inside the cabinets. They are BIG cabinets... Maybe we realize there is enough room in 2 of them (there are 3 total) and end up having him add shelves at the end of the season. Either way I think id like to convert at least one to having shelves in there...
They are slightly taller than a pool noodle (by design). Also the top cupboards above the doors are 100% pass through, so the entire top is one monster cabinet. Also wide enough to house pool noodles... So im guessing thats the winter storage spot for those.
Cabinet left of fridges is a double garbage pullout. 3/4 cabinet just right of the fridges (and up a bit) is for my Opal Ice maker... its door comes out, then slides back in to the cabinet on rails.
Tried to think of about everything :) Im sure we missed something though. LIke a sink... I did want a sink, but breakin concrete, adding drains etc didnt seem like something I wanted to do. Also we have full bar set up on the other side of the basement (which is near the door where the hot tub currently is). So if they need a sink, they can go there :) . Lazy bastages

You THOUGHT of the sink but decided against it for good reason.

Towels in cabinets--------they MUST be dry. If you put them in there to dry or even a little damp you will have a musty, mildew mess.

Ice machine?? NICE!

Yeah I am thinking ill get a clothes spinner and stick it either in the closet or off to the side, or in a cabinet... once they are wrung out, they could go in there... The cabinets arent air tight, so I presume they would dry well.. I really wanted a small clothes dryer (120v) in there, but had no way to easily ventilate it.
Been pumping water out of the pool sump pit off and on all weekend. Finally got smart and put a smart switch on the pump so I can turn it off and on from the dryness of my house.. Now I need to order a water sensor so when the water reaches the level of the sensor it automatically triggers the switch to pump water out.

I'm with Kim on this one. Fully dry before going inside of any small enclosure, regardless of caveats.

update... yesterday the first pour (to hold the cover) went in... The concrete coping is a considerable pain, and only 1 company in my city is trusted to do it.. They NAILED it... its perfect.... today rained all day, AGAIN... tomorrow morning, tracks for the cover go in and hopefully , weather permitting, the 2nd and final pour goes in. That will officially make the pool usable while the rest of the work is done.
Rest of that work is.
Deck finishing, trim out, car siding etc.
Final electrical for pool lights, cover etc.
fireplace/tv wall w brick
move hot tub
Irrigation re do
Sod
Landscaping...

man i thought i had the end in sight.. guess not haha

Ok... so final concrete was poured last night, and cut this morning.. Im in the process of cleaning the pool (vacced twice) .
Hopefully within a week the cover can get installed.
Here is a short (original was 10x longer til i sped it WAY up) timelapse of a bunch of videos strung together.
Start to finish pool

This morning the PB came back, added 8 bags of salt and got the SWG cranked up... Also brought me my new M400 robot cleaner :) sold me the cleaner and caddy for 1k cash.. Basically his cost... Man i love this guy :)
Guessing i want to wait to balance the pool with CYA etc until the cover is installed ... am i right on that? :)

Nope go ahead and balance the water NOW! The CYA will help keep the FC in your pool as it acts as a sunscreen for the FC. The pH and TA are very important for eye and skin comfort so go ahead and balance those as well.

Start learning about the CSI in Pool Math. The water temp is very important for this. The CSI will help keep scaling down so is a neat thing to work with. Play with the numbers and see what works best.

So the problem is we are getting 2-3 inches of rain almost daily, so without a cover (no pump on cover) im draining 1k gallons of water a day... so I feel like regardless what I do I will be rebalancing non stop until i get the cover on and get some consistency...
I know ill have to add more salt, and do the whole thing again :(

Ok... so landscaping and sod happened over the last couple of days... Still havent planted the greenery yet, but the edgers are in, rocks are in... large decorate boulders are in... SOD is in. OMG the sod.. thank you sod gods.
Here are a few pics from the recent developments

No... we dont cook on the fire pit... the grate is there only because the city where I live does not allow fire pits. So builders put those on to get around it. Of course when there are no inspectors around they just get removed... Its well known, but whatever :).
I did not do the sod myself... My local landscaping crew that has done ALL my work did it. They take extremely good care of it price wise and work wise... they are awesome.
Water is fine. Still trying to figure out what level to run my SWG at to be perfect, but the water numbers are all stable, and water is crystal clear.

So I havent made an update in over a month so I figured one was due. The pool and the entire project is basically finished... I have yet to film a walkthrough etc to side by side with my design video I made, but I did take some night shots tonight after I finished the landscape lighting. Couldnt be happier with how it turned out.
Here are a couple night shots, and a couple of the inside pool house (converted bedroom). Turned out again, better than expected. Above the door is an air curtain (still needs to be wired in wall) that I have automated with smart home to only turn on when door is open. can leave that door open all day long, no bugs, and cold air stays inside where it belongs :).
