Hi guys. So a couple months ago I was having an issue with the cloudiness of my pool and after dumping a ton of money into chemicals, I found out my grids were bad on my DE filter and it was blowing DE into the pool.
Since then everything has been great, pool has been crystal clear with a weekly routine I found works best, however, it’s been taking a lot more work than usual.
Every day or 2 the walls and floor get some greenish patches that have to be brushed away, and then looks like yellow/greenish dust. Not sure if it’s pollen or algae. But, after brushing it and doing my thing, it reappears a day or two later, sooner if it rains.
Every week, I add tabs to my chlorinater, shock the pool, backwash, and add DE to my filter (after backwash).
Today I decided to test the water and this is where I’m at (pool is still blue and clear, just gets those dusty patches and brushing it almost daily is a PITA):
CYA:20-30 (below 30 but probably around 20c the tube doesn’t go that low)
FC: 4
CC:1
Ph: <7 (a bit of a yellowish compared to the 7.0)
I shocked and did everything on Saturday. My pool is pretty much in the sun all day, no heater, in ground , 33k gallons approximately. Any way to ditch this brushing fiasco? TIA.
