That amount of acid will lower your pH to 7.8. That is fine. Eventually your TA will come down some and the pH may not rise as fast.
If you turn on Sharing in the App setup we can see your Poolmath logs directly by clicking on your Member name.

I would suggest getting a FAS-DPD test kit for your FC/CC. Your signature shows a kit not suitable for measuring above 5 ppm FC.
Not sure without more information.... is this a new pool? Do you have a water feature? These will both raise pH.
You can take the pH down with muriatic acid, as you know, but are you using PoolMath to guide you in how much to use for a desired response?
Also if it continues to rise, try lowering your TA by 10points and seeing if that doesn't slow the pH upward roll down?

Pool is a year and a half old and we do have a waterfall. And yes using the suggested amounts per the pool app.
Thank you, I will change the settings to share, good to know! I am using the Taylor k-2006 test kit. Don’t remember what I have in my signature line but is this kit sufficient?
