Aqua trol T5 cell issue

I have an aqua trol system. Went to replace the cell which bursted over a winter freeze. Ordered on Amazon. So far i have not been able to get proper reading and keep getting error messages. Error messages are low salt and check cell. Salt is at level, had it checked, a little on the high end actually. Cell is new.
Are there different salt cells? It says T5. Is there a difference in T5 cells for aquatrol and aquarite? Starting to wonder if that is the issue, that i have the wrong cell.
Please help trouble shooting

T-5 is correct for aquatroll. Can you post the diagnostic readings?

How are you testing the salinity?

What does the salinity test indicate?

Somehow ended up in metric, how do i change that?
When i turn it on it starts of and stays on for about 5mins before it gives me an error
First display says 1.6 before i hit dx button
When i hit diagnosis here are the readings
Temp 28
Volt 22.8
Current 2.21
Output 41p
Sanility -2.10
Product al- 7
Software r.1.45

I'm testing with salt strips and reads between 3320 and 3620. So either in range or slightly above.

Digital salt reader says 3300

The regular aquatrol uses a flow switch. The RJ (Return Jet) model doesn't use a flow switch.

The model number should be inside the door.

In diagnostics, AL-6 means regular aquatrol, AL-7 means return jet.

The system should not send power to the cell when the pump is off in any case.

What pump do you have?

Is the cell generating when the pump is off?

The volts look a little bit low, what do they go to when not generating?

Is the cell a genuine Hayward T-5?

What are the first four characters of the serial number?

The salinity test can be difficult. I would get one more test just to be sure. I recommend the K-1766 test.

To change back to standard measurements, go to temperature and move the switch from auto to superchlorinate and back to auto.

If the settings are randomly changing, the display board might need to be reset.

Changed back to regular units.
I have not tried generating when the pump is off, i didnt think you were supposed to do that. I dont turn my pump off.
Not a genuine hayward cell, refurbished cell.
Sending pictures of the set up. Wonder if the cell might be b was backwards too?

You don't want to generate with the pump off. I was asking to make sure that it wasn't generating with the pump off.

I wouldn't have too much confidence in that cell.

If you're really sure about the actual salinity, you should send the cell back for a refund and get a new cell.

I recommend the K-1766 salt test kit.
