New salt water fiber glass pool and Cloudy water

Hi All,
Our new salt water fiber glass pool (12k gallons) was installed couple of weeks ago. We have Hayward VSP(SP23520VSP), T3 cell and Sand filter(S244T2).
Pool size 31x14, 3.5' to 6' deep.

Last week pool guy came and finished filter connection etc.
He put few bags of salt and ran super clorinator for 24 hours. Filter scheduled to run 12 hour/day. He did not do any test on the water for PH/CL etc before adding salt.
Salt reading next day after 24 hours was 4400 ppm. Water was cloudy.
I called him next and he said it is normal and told me that it will clear up after few days.

Waited for couple of days, water was still cloudy, I could only see bottom at shollow end of the pool. Salt reading at 4300. PH 7.6, FC between 1 and 2.

I diluted the pool few times (ran backwash/rinse/filter and add fresh water) over next 2 days to bring salt reading to 3700.
PH 7.6, FC between 1 and 2.
Ordered "TAYLOR TECHNOLOGIES INC K-2006",Poolmaster 22260 5-Way" and "AquaChek 551236 7-Way 100 Count Pool Water Test Strips" for rest of the chemicals reading.

Last night, I shocked the pool using 1 lb of "Calcium Hypochlorite Super Chlorine Shock" in 5 gallons of water.
This morning, water is still cloudy. Still I can only see bottom at shollow end of pool.
I backwash/rise the pool and put 2 oz of "Robarb R20154 Super Blue Clarifier" (mixed in 4 gallon of water) and started filter.

Please advise.

Do you have the K2006 test kit yet? That is the only one of the kits you mentioned that will do you any good. The test strips you can throw away.
Do you know how much CYA was added? Follow FC/CYA Levels
It is best to not use clarifier. It is glue. It will compromise the sand in your filter and can require the sand to need to be changed.
Use liquid chlorine/plain bleach to raise FC. Cal Hypo adds calcium and if that gets too high it will be an issue for your SWCG.
What volume is your pool? The T3 SWCG is very small. Your SWCG should be sized for 2X your pool volume.

Can you fill out your signature? See mine below for an example.

I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry and consider reviewing the entire Pool School eBook.
 
How much CYA was added? Any? And how?

Eventually you will want to get your CYA to 70 ppm. Follow the FC/CYA Levels for FC. Your pump will need to run 24 hours per day with your T3 to add enough FC each day. Vary the % setting to match your FC loss.
 
Please don't let the PB guy put any more potions in your water, *especially* not salt while the SWG is turned on! A bolus of salt going thru the device can cause a bit of havoc to the device. You should always turn it off and leave it off for a day when adding salt.

I would also advise you to obtain the Taylor K-1766 Salt Test Kit. I don't ever make changes to my salt level based on what the device says... I only trust the test kit.

Your pool should be fairly easy to care for but you need to put in the effort to learn what chemicals you should use, and which to never use. Read PoolSchool (found at the left side of this site) on the basics.

I did not add any CYA yet.
First goal was to lower the salt. So I backwashed and refilled fresh water last night followed by shocking the pool using 1 lb of "Calcium Hypochlorite Super Chlorine Shock" in 5 gallons of water. Ran the pump for 8 hours.

This morning salt is at 3400ppm, PH is between 7.6-7.8 and water is crystal clear first time!!

I will do rest of chemical check and run poolmath to see what is required. Will post results shortly!
 
Get 50 ppm worth of CYA powder dissolving today using the sock method.

Keep adding liquid chlorine to maintain at least 3 ppm FC. Start your SWCG when you wish.

Be careful adding Cal Hypo. It is adding calcium, which depending on your fill water CH, can be a good or bad thing.
 
CH reading was low at 150, so Cal Hypo was good thing. this morning FC was 8.

CYA seems to be 0 as I could see black dot after filling till top.

poolmath says, to bring CYA to 50, Add 67 oz by weight or by 70 oz volume of stabilizer or add of 173 oz liquid stabilizer.
What product should I buy to increase CYA and how much?

I am also thinking of using "Clorox Pool&Spa XtraBlue Shock, 24-pack" from Costco, which will increase CYA.

You can swim while the CYA is dissolving.

Use the sock method to dissolve the CYA. Once the CYA is dissolved from the sock, wait 24 hours and then test your CYA. From there, add more CYA -- For a salt water pool we recommend 70-80 ppm CYA.
