First time poster, just ordered a 24' Matrix pool from Pool Supply World. Will be using Pentair Superflo VS pump, Pentair 150 sq ft cartridge filter, and Pentair iChlor 30 SWG. I did a search for recommendations on plumbing pipe size but didn't see anything. Looking for advice on using 1.5" or 2" plumbing. Understand that 1.5" used to be the standard but read some articles that indicated 2" is the new standard.

There really is no "standard". Unless you have an unusually long pipe run, a bunch of bends and 90 degree angles, water features and such, 1.5 ought to do you. Welcome to the forum.
