Pump electrical not working, cracked internal component

Our pool pump didn't go on today. My wife spoke to our pool cleaner, so everything I learned was second hand. He came by and said it seemed to be an electrical problem within the pump. There is a little bit of a communication barrier as he mainly speaks spanish. He called a friend who does repair to come take a look and they removed the pump cover. They said there was a plastic component that was cracked (see attached photo, it is apparently the piece that I have circled in blue). They used some type of "jumper" (I'm not exactly sure, but it sounds like they were trying to bypass this plastic component). Apparently they got the pump to start working again, but said that this was not a permanent solution. They removed this "jumper" and put the cover back on. They said they were unaware of whether or not you can replace this plastic component and they thought we needed to buy a new pump (maybe they said just motor).

Anybody have any idea what this component is? Can it be replaced? Where you would buy the part or who would perform this type of repair? Do I need to buy a new motor or pump?

The pump is a STA-RITE MAX-E-PRO 3/4 HP 115/230V model P6E6D-205L, manufactured 11/21/2013, bought and installed 4/21/2014.

That's the motor terminal block.

This should be it. Terminal Board Assembly This is just one place, but if you'll search for Motor Terminal Board or Motor Terminal Block, you should be able to find it at plenty of places. Also, if you have a local electric motor repair place they may have it in stock.

Really appreciate the help. I placed an overnight order for that part (the part itself was cheap, only about $8). Looks like a very simple repair. All I see are two screws holding the terminal board in place and then reconnecting the ground and two hot wires (of course ensuring the circuit breaker is turned off while performing the repair). Am I missing anything else? Thanks
