I was planning to do a setup for my pump, filter & SWG like Cowboy Casey did. (Sorry, I have no idea how to link it to his) The only change I made was where his is an L shape with the top only going over the one side, I did mine like a T, so it would overlap both sides so I could mount our sound bar on the side facing the pool. Looking back, I think his filter is the Pentair that comes covered so I guess it’s basucally weather proof. I have the Hayward. I’m seeing on Pinterest where a lot of people build enclosures, but I’m not liking that idea because of the pump & SWG generating heat & we’re in East Texas, so it definitely needs to breathe. Any ideas? Preferably to just add to the existing set up? Sorry, I didn’t take a pic & im already at work. I’ll get one this evening.

Looking forward to seeing what folks come up with. My equipment gets morning sun then shade but it is really hot these days. I just haven’t come up with the right idea to cover/shade the equipment...

I just did a simple lean-to against my shed to take the hot afternoon (west side) sun off the equipment.

Is it ok for it to all sit in the rain?
For the most part, yes. Rain won't hurt things. You might look to ensure the pump/motor won't be in an area (low) subjected to flooding, but other than that those items are designed to be out in the elements.
