The round up wont hurt the metal on the buttresses?

I have an above ground pool with a deck half way around. The other have has water wash rock 2 feet from the pool. What is the safest weed killer to use around the buttress? Thanks!

Sorry it took so long to get back and with an update. My cut a thin strip in the buttress bottom and strung the straps up from the bottom and not and bolted them. The last ones brook and they were screwed together. The pool is filled and holding just fine.

Here is what my husband did to fix our broken straps. He cut a slice in the metal and slid the strap through and not and bolted them. Sorry for the late reply!!!

Last week I realized I had broken straps under my buttress pool. Did some research and found that I could replace with with Simpson Strong Tie CS16g. The web site says there are 2" in width but, when I got them today they are actually 1 1/4. So the question will it work???We were going to bolt...

I am not sure what kinda of pool it is. Ive looked and can not find anything like it. The walls are gray with darker grey lines. I have 6 buttress on each side. The pool was sold from company called Light House in Columbus Ohio. They have now went out of business. Yes I have press plates also...

Poltergeist, What other way can I reinforce the buttress? Would you know the dimension between the the buttress? Like I said we the pool used, with no instructions. Since we have to make new straps we need to know the distance. I cant find anything for 6 buttress on each side. thanks
