Always able to keep pool clear till now, gettin crazy. About a week ago pool started to get a little algae, brushed pool was clear, started gettin cloudy thought it was dead algae...brought fc up to 21 as per calc.. dropped down to 18 overnight brought back up to 21 dropped to 19 overnight...

Yes it's the same green algae I always get, yesterday bottom of pool felt slimly till I brushed it. So according to the CYA chart the shock level should be 35, how long should it be kept there because the CC is already 0.5 or till I have CC of 0.0 .... I vacuumed most of the algae, just some in...

Thanx for the welcome, have always done everything myself, but, I am not afraid to ask. Is there any way to guesstimate my FC. Right now things are pretty tight and don't want to hit the bride with a "Igotta Have It" she thinks the water looks fine. :roll: I don't want to overdue the bleach...
