I live in a mud district that has softened water. My fill water is even lower in hardness than the 127 I currently have. I have to add calcium every spring or the water begins leaching calcium and leaving white streaks on our natural stone.

54 was the number the pool store gave me when I took water in to check my Borax level because I don't have test strips yet. They called it Adjusted Total Alkalinity. I just did the test on my own and got TA of 80. My fill water tests at 270.

We do not have a manual vacuum. If it does not clear within a few days I will get one and try that route.
