    Is my heater working correctly?

OP, did you mean to say it takes 3.5 hours to heat up your spa or your pool? Your first post says pool, and that heating time sounds more reasonable. Based on subsequent discussion I'm guessing you meant spa.

    MasterTemp 400 won't stay lit

Update: Got the RMA'd board from Pentair, installed and the LCD works. All is well at last! Anyone want a board that works perfectly save for the LCD? :) Thanks for all the help and pointers. Really appreciate it.

Good news. Pentair is sending me a new board. Hopefully the end of this saga is in sight.

@JamesW I'll get some pics of the control module tomorrow. I'm nearly certain it's an older model. You an see the pic of my previous control board's membrane above and it has five buttons. It's weird. The new board actually seems to be mostly working, along with the buttons on the membrane...

Yes. JMP1 is jumped across pins 1 & 2. I control the heater from the heater's control pad.

Fairly sure I have the older model. My previous membrane/keypad had five buttons. I've attached a pic of my old keypad but doesn't look like I have one of my control module. Will have to grab one tomorrow.

Alright, will give this a shot. Thanks! PS: The temperature buttons also still seem to work and call for more heat, just can't tell what the setting is. Hopefully this wire does the trick... :)

    MasterTemp 400 won't stay lit

Update on this. Fuse was indeed blown, but turned out the control board I bought was either bad or incompatible (guess it was after market). Am returning it. Pro came out and verified everything else looks fine, including gas and water flow. Ordered a new board...
