Ok. So my fill water is about 465 on the CH scale. And the TA was 280.

I don’t see scale yet, What does it look like/feel like? There is a small bit of scum which I am thinking is sunscreen/body residue

I just tested now. It is about 280. We are on a well. Our well water was the primary source of the initial fill. I am using the TF Pro test kit. I will try the four drop test tonight after work.

Ok, I’ll try the four instead of five drops. The test is still legit when you do that? The total alkalinity of my water has been testing at about 260.

Hello! First pool season here. I have the chlorine and CYA under control, more or less. Still figuring out the percentage to have the salt cell operate at, and slowly bringing up my CYA level to around 40. (We have an autocover, so I think that level is ok?) Anyway, kind of wondering what to do...
