Yeah there has been lots of debris falling in pool. Not really in the one area where the stains are, so that’s a bit weird. But I will maintain extra FC and see how it does. I guess that’s a good outcome if correct…

E.g., is there a removal tool I should know about? That could grip it from inside? Feeling around in there it feels like that would be possible.

If it screws off I have no idea how I would accomplish that. I tried (because that's the obvious answer...). There is no way to get a good grip on it; not completely flush with wall, but not far off. I don't think adjustable pliers could grip it.

Thanks. One of those things look like it would actually work. Turns out, though, that there is no blockage. The missing nozzle was the only issue. That jet was not pulling in any air, so the water flowed out that air intake, and there was not enough water flow to pull air from the other jets...
