    Dolphin/Maytronics s300 PCB

Water got into the motor of my Dolphin s300 motor assembly and the PCB appears to be fried. Annoyingly, I’m out of warranty. And of course Maytronics won’t sell anything other than the $500+ entire assembly. I’m somewhat surprised there don’t appear to be folks with motor assemblies or entire...

    Mysterious stains suddenly showed up

I don’t have pebble. Regular plaster. I checked to make sure it wasn’t iron. It definitely isn’t. My working theory is now that it is caused by bits of wisteria seed husks. Somehow embedded in a way I can’t scrub out. Maybe a long shot. But I will know more once I get in pool. Otherwise I...

    Mysterious stains suddenly showed up

Update on this. I’ve maintained high FC for weeks. No effect on these stains. Ugh. Any other ideas?

    Mysterious stains suddenly showed up

Yeah there has been lots of debris falling in pool. Not really in the one area where the stains are, so that’s a bit weird. But I will maintain extra FC and see how it does. I guess that’s a good outcome if correct…

    Mysterious stains suddenly showed up

new stains showed up suddenly after a week or two of rain during which I didn’t stay up on brushing, etc. It’s old plaster that has a lot of other widespread brown stains, but I was hoping to avoid any further staining… The new stains are these tiny brown stains. Like flecks or brown. See pics...

What to do about these return fittings?

Yup. It is inapplicable, but I did figure it out: I pried the piece out with a screwdriver. It is an 1.5" insider fitting. It is also basically falling apart so I will replace it. There are insider fittings with the standard male threads for eyeball ring nut. Or I could get stub adapter to...

What to do about these return fittings?

E.g., is there a removal tool I should know about? That could grip it from inside? Feeling around in there it feels like that would be possible.

What to do about these return fittings?

If it screws off I have no idea how I would accomplish that. I tried (because that's the obvious answer...). There is no way to get a good grip on it; not completely flush with wall, but not far off. I don't think adjustable pliers could grip it.

What to do about these return fittings?

Hi, Having a problem with keeping debris out of pool because the skimmer is in the end OPPOSITE of prevailing winds, which are heavy this time of year. There are tons of trees and flowers all around, so it has been impossible to keep the surface (or the floor...) clear of debris. It all tends...

    Unidentified stains

If that is all correct, what is best course of action?

    Unidentified stains

Recently moved into house with a pool (I owned a pool previously so am not a total newbie). The plaster is worse for wear and has lots of staining. We plan on replastering, but have to put that off for now. In the meantime, I haven't been able to confirm what these stains are. See pics. I...

Desperate for help on in-ground spa jet problem

Thanks. One of those things look like it would actually work. Turns out, though, that there is no blockage. The missing nozzle was the only issue. That jet was not pulling in any air, so the water flowed out that air intake, and there was not enough water flow to pull air from the other jets...

Desperate for help on in-ground spa jet problem

I don't see any results from such a search that looks like it would be able to remove the nozzles. I doubt I could get a good picture of them to show here...but I may try if I get that desperate. Basically there are two holes on each side of the nozzle opening where pins would fit into, I...

Desperate for help on in-ground spa jet problem

Thanks. That was my first inkling, and I looked through those results. None of the steps for cleaning/clearing the jets could help, although I could not fully try all of them because I cannot remove the nozzles (in the jets that have them) yet. This brings me to another point: I did some...
