    I had same issue. I changed the battery pack in the remote and it fixed the issue. The exact battery pack was hard to find but Batteries Plus made me a new battery pack.

    Model # AQL-PS8 Serial # 5L0602-1013322 After shading the control panel for several days, the problem seems to be rectified. The pump ran all night and all day yesterday with no issues. I can only assume being exposed to 118 degree temp was a factor.

    The aqua logic control panel was in direct sunlight, but is now shaded. It ran overnight but at some point,, it went into service mode on its own again. I took it out of service mode, and it started up again, but not confident it won't go back into service mode later as the temperature gets...

    Would extreme outside temperatures, if. 115 degree days cause it to automatically go into service mode. I have Pentair variable speed pool pump.
