Also check the contract. Ours stated that landscaping and protection of trees/plants were the homeowners responsibility. Hopefully the PB takes care of you but rereading the contract might help clarify some items.
Run to the hardware store and cap the pipe.
The only water that should drain out of the pool is to the depth of the pipe below ground. So if the pipes are 18" or so underground, that's roughly how much pool water would drain out.
Can cal hypo be used for a start up to get calcium/chlorine levels in spec? PB recommended using that for chlorine as needed to help also raise calcium levels while maintaining FC levels.
I was worried about the same thing on this step/seat and never mentioned it. Everytime I looked at the pool build it was the first thing I would look at.
Just finished our build. Plaster done and pool filled, I can't even notice it.
The kind I got, pindo palm and canary island date palm, are both very cold/freeze tolerant. May suffer some frond damage during hard freezes but they should bounce back. May want to look into them, both are very slow growers though.
Pretty confident in testing. It also is inline with what the PB said the calcium would be at on the first day. He added the calcium and said it would bring it up to ~150ppm.
Adding the calcium to 250 I would also want to add some MA to bring ph down to 7.8 or so to keep CSI in line?
The CYA...
PB has not come back to test the water again as of yet. Tested again and levels all remain basically the same. Should I just add calcium myself? If so is there any brand or type that is recommended or just get the calcium from Leslie's pool supply?
