    Its held up very well, we did around 3 inches for the crushed limestone. And I just got whatever menards had in stock for 1" foam.

    Rigid foam under entire pool

    It wouldn't be possible to extend the foam under the walls. You want to cut the foam to fit inside the bottom ring and then use a foam cove kit to cover the small gap.
