    Thank you everyone, I’m going to keep the bonding wire just in case. Splice right at the binding post and encapsulate it all. That way the wire is there incase ever needed. Don’t plan on seeing the inside of this light housing again… lol Thank you everyone for all the info.!!

    Yes, low voltage. Well that’s good news. The pool is 35 years old. maybe the original light was 110v. What is in there now is low voltage, regular light, and we’re replacing it with an LED light.

    That’s what I was afraid of. do you think splicing is an option, if so would it be best to splice close to the lug and use something to encapsulate everything
