Before testing it out of water I would get into the pool with the bot, put on a mask, and visualize the drive gears while it is supposed to be moving. If the drive gears are moving then it is a drive belt issue. I'd probably just take off the drive belts (the 2 small amber colored belts) just...

I've only used the L shape setting. The 2 others are rectangular or kidney shape. No maintenance so far, but based on my experience with my previous aquabot, the drive belts need to be replaced every few years. This is an easy do-it-yourself process, and the drive belts cost about 20 bucks...

I'm not sure, the ads say that it learns your pool. I don't really believe that. But it does do a great job of cleaning the pool. Tom
