The old single speed motor is dead. I would like to replace the failed motor with a two-speed motor. Original pump: WhisperFlo WFEDS-8C attached with A.O.Smith SQ1152 48Y 1.5HP 230V I was told, the WhisperFlo pump was originally designed for a 2-speed 2 HP full-rated pump. Is the main drain always contected to pump?
A silly question to ask maybe, but I am a new pool owner, cannot find a sure answer from google. I blowed all returns using shop vac, but did not see bubbles from main drop. I am trying to blow out the main drain again, should I repeat to other returns too?- tony007
