Appreciate the quick response. It's direct wired and the timer on the Auto Pilot controls the pump. Power is always on. I noticed the humming during the day while the pump is running too recently, perhaps just more noticeable at night.

I've noticed lately when I let my dogs out at night that my autopilot is making a humming noise for a minute or two. The pool pump isn't running. Usually by the time I get over to that side of the house it stops but the few times I've made it over to the autopilot and no lights are flashing or...
