    chlorine evaporates

Yesterday I added 10 ppm, just a few minutes ago I added another 15ppm. Not sure why all 10 ppm of cal hypo evaporated. Could it be a bad batch of chlorine?

    Why is TA rising?

I tested twice and the results came up TA 30 both times. I didn't let the hose run, almost immediately I filled 3 gallon bucket. Will do as you suggested.

CYA 30 -35, very subjective CH - 310 FC - 6 CC - 0 TA 7 goes to 8 in one week after adding fill water in the summer PH - 7.5 - 7.8, once rises above 7.8, I lower to 7.4, about once a week - - - Updated - - - When I add acid to lower PH, TA also gets lowered to 7

    Why is TA rising?

I believe you are saying my TA should stay constant, if one is not adding chemicals. I have to lower PH now as my fill water adds to my existing range of 7.5 to 7.8 Lower PH by acid.

    Fill Water loaded with PH

I'm guessing at a PH of 14. It could be 10. I'm looking at the results after 5 drops and it is very pink / red. The PH is very high/. I'm just trying to determine what is causing the TA to climb. In the past 4 weeks, I'd say every week it goes from 7 to 8. The only thing I'm doing...

    Fill Water loaded with PH

in response to your question TA ~ 7.2. TA from the pool is approximately 7.2. I realize that we multiply by 10 and we should obtain a even number.
