    Salt Water pool?

No one in Australia has the Bestway SWCG...I spoke to my favourite supplier that sells them and they said they're no longer selling them due to corrosion concerns with metal pools. My previous bestway freshwater pool was in operation for almost 3 years with no rust... The only other one is an...

    Salt Water pool?

I have this very dilemma right now. I've just replaced my Bestway Hydrium 3m round with a 5m x 3.6m version and it's now 16300L as opposed to 8kL. Using more chlorine now and going through the chlorine drums more rapidly obviously. I can see this will cost me a bit once summer is over. Looking...

Cleaning the vinyl liner at the waterline

Hi all Over time the waterline justs dirty from oils (sunscreen, body), and I was wondering what I can use to clean it with? When I had a fibreglass pool, there was a spray that used to use that got it off, but can't find it anymore and not sure if it's safe for vinyl. I've tried a paste of...

Wow great job on the plumbing! Your little bit of landscaping looks good as well. I can certainly see the benefits of a SWCG after me dosing my pool all the time with liquid chlorine. I'm sure my pool would disintegrate pretty quickly it being an all metal pool though. Thanks for the pics!

Pump and filter recommendations for small pool

@AusPhil you will have to post pics showing the final result. I'd love to install a SWCG but probably not a good idea for a Bestway Hydrium pool (lots of metal).

Pump and filter recommendations for small pool

Update. since putting on the extra silicone grease the leaking has completely stopped! I’m running at 2000rpm right now for about 4 hours and it’s perfect. thanks to the clear choice labs test kit my son and his mates are happy to report the they can open their eyes underwater with no stinging...

Pump and filter recommendations for small pool

On a side note I’m now running my pump off a smart plug which also measures energy consumption. On my usual filter speed my pump consumes 154W!! Down from 550W for my last pump! Love it!

Well applying extra silicone grease has seemingly fixed it! I’ve been running it on the medium pump speed for 30mins so far and no leaks. Fingers crossed!

Pump and filter recommendations for small pool

Just an update... Best pool supplies sent out a new unit at Zodiac's request and I installed it yesterday. Ran for about 5mins with no leaks, and then I stopped it. It leaked for a few seconds then stopped. I ran it for half a day today, and came home at lunch to check and there's a slow leak...

Pump and filter recommendations for small pool

The hoses are working brilliantly - no leaking whatsoever in the pipework. I tried screwing down some more but theres a hard stop, you can't tighten it up tight, and the lid is still loose. I've tried all combinations of varying "tightness", and it leaks every time. It happens after about a...

Pump and filter recommendations for small pool

It's finished! But the filter is leaking out of the box!!!:cry::cry: I uploaded a video to youtube to demonstrate. I don't know what's going on? The manual says tighten until safety catch locks into place - done, but no dice. The o-ring is greasy as it should be. This is a Zodiac...
