Connecting a Pentair Superflow VST pump to my Easytouch

I think I have the circuits correct but..... Looking at the Schedules menu I have Pool Circuit active from 10 to 5 I have the Pool High Circuit active from 10 to 1201 but it is 3:20 pm so should not be active. The only other circuit on a schedule is the pool light from 8pm to 10:45pm so not...

Connecting a Pentair Superflow VST pump to my Easytouch

OK, thanks but I still have the problem with pump control. When I press the P button now, nothing happens to the pump it continues to run, the SWG switches off and the display no longer indicates the pool temp, indicating the pump is off. It is not off.

Pool Circuit and Pool High schedule overlap. That's OK??

Connecting a Pentair Superflow VST pump to my Easytouch

CORRECTION: I just noticed the schedule overlap on Pool 1 circuit. I changed Pool 1 circuit to 10 am-1201pm. However that made no difference in the function of the P button.

Connecting a Pentair Superflow VST pump to my Easytouch

After using most of yesterday in taking a deep dive into the EasyTouch manual I thought I had most of the EasyTouch user interface figured out but I still need some help. I want the pump to come on in the morning at 10 am at 3000 rpm until 1201 pm and then run at 2200 until it turns off at 5pm...

Connecting a Pentair Superflow VST pump to my Easytouch

I determined the minimum speed for the SWG is 2200 rpm. I have that set under Menu > Settings > IntelliFlow > Pump 1 > RPM: 2200 Circuit (POOL). I don't really have an understanding of Circuits. The pump run schedule is set to run from 10 am to 4 pm and as I have it set now the pump will run at...

Will do, thanks for pointing that out.

Connecting a Pentair Superflow VST pump to my Easytouch

Yup SWG didn't work. Seems I should have recognized that no relay will work without supply power. So I wired it slightly different with the pump wires directly from the CB and a jumper wire from the CB to the relay as shown in the picture. I'm not sure 1800 rpm will be enough to power the pool...

Connecting a Pentair Superflow VST pump to my Easytouch

Thanks again Jim. I have the pump wired directly to the CB and the transformer for the SWG remains connected to the #1 relay as shown in the picture. On the pump display I have the pump address assigned to pump 1. So now starting on page 32 of the Easytouch manual and substituting my Superflow...

Connecting a Pentair Superflow VST pump to my Easytouch

The pool was here when we bought the house, probably built around 1994. I do have an IC 40 SWG, I corrected that in my signature. I recall when talking to the Pentair CS he mentioned the pump should always receive power. That is not how it is currently connected to my Easytouch. Currently the...

Connecting a Pentair Superflow VST pump to my Easytouch

Thanks Jim. I just got off the phone with Pentair and they said I can use the instructions from the Easytouch manual for connecting a IntelliFlow VS pump. The only connection I will make is as you said the yellow and green wires to the J20 com port. I will probably have additional questions...

Connecting a Pentair Superflow VST pump to my Easytouch

OK, so none of the other wires are connected to any of the available relays?

Connecting a Pentair Superflow VST pump to my Easytouch

Thanks but no where in that document does it mention how to connect the Superflow pump to an Easytouch.

Connecting a Pentair Superflow VST pump to my Easytouch

The Easytouch manual doesn't address how to connect this particular pump nor does the pump manual. I have a Easytouch 4. 2 relays are available. I have the RS 485 black cable with 8 pins. On page 6 of the pump manual it explains how to connect the pump via "External Control via Digital Inputs...
