Just trying to lower my power bill,I will look at some of the two speeds as well.

I was just trying to figure out how many gpm I would be able to get at the lower speeds.I took a vacuum reading from the suction side and used that and the pressure reading to come up with 40 feet of head right now.

I have been looking at replacing my pump and just had a question about the variable speed pumps.Looking at the performance curves it seems to me that if you have more than about 20 or so feet of head,the low speeds are pretty much useless,am I looking at that wrong?

I have a question about testing your cya, do you fill the vial until the dot can't be seen at all, or until it just starts to fade out? Seems the more I look at it, sometimes I think I can see it and sometimes not...

most of the bottom of my pool has a light tan stain that brushing doesn't seem to effect,it seemed to get a worse after several days of slamming the pool,is there a certain way i should add the bleach?I have just been pouring it in,and any ideas on removing the stains?

i havent been able to do the overnight test due to my work schedule,so I'm just gonna keep it up an extra day or 2 to hopefully be sure.

Well,water is crystal clear this morning finally,thanks for the help,test read 0 c.c. this morning also.My question is, ph is reading 8, should i wait till the f.c. is back down to more normal #'s and retest ph before adding some acid to bring it down?
