Thanks for the response! The rs8 controls the settings (%'s, boost, etc) but the entire unit is powered on and off with the pump relay. During the installation, I powered it on and off a few times to "reset" the aquapure. SO... I let the unit run overnight on low speed and sure enough, this...

It's a "south beach" model with titanium. The leak in on the top plate and I thought the titanium was just a coating inside since the material is so expensive.

I have a aqualcal heat pump that has sprung a leak on the top of the heat exchanger. It's near one of the PVC pipes and I can visibly see a fine stream of water coming out. Here's my question... Assuming my warranty is out on the unit, what are my options? Can just the top of the heat...

Like JohnT mentioned... you'll need footers around the perimeter to support the screen cage.

Oh yeah... You'll need a dual speed relay to run the pump. I bought mine, new in box, for around $50 on eBay.

Pretty sure you'll need to confirm the firmware revision on the aqualink and cross check with Jandy/zodiac. You should be able to open the panel, unscrew the control board and see the revision letter on the back of the board. Cut the power to the entire subpanel before attempting FYI. Also...

I completely forgot about the service factor. It wasn't listed on the motor but finding the replacement motor from A.O.Smith/ Centurion indicates that motor is actually a 2hp motor with a service factor of 1.3 SO... I guess I'm in the clear then. Correct?

I actually added that 2nd hose connection so I can utilize the main pool drain (the lowest drain in the pool) in case I need to completely drain the pool. Regarding the solar; I plan on having enough space to add that in the future. Thanks for your feedback!
