    VINYL POOL FLOAT REPAIR? Options???

I have 2 blue vinyl coated pool floats that have bite marks (it wasn't me!) and a few minor chips missing. I wanted to fix these since they're not too cheap to replace and are otherwise in good condition. I know that a company called "super soft" sells a vinyl repair and sealant kit for pool...

Possible to fix an aquacal heat exchanger?

UPDATE - Last month I noticed a really tiny pinhole leak in the same area after some extended usage of the heater. It was coming up around the fold/ridge on the top of the exchanger. To repair, I repeated the process but this time I added some fiberglass fabric. Similar to what is used in auto /...

    No Flow with Jandy AquaPure

I've been getting some odd readings; salt at ~25k and then ~2k and then repeated NO FLOW errors. I have the newer black sensor w/ daughter board. I attempted to reset the board but the little LED on the board will not light up after waiting, rebooting, etc.... Thoughts? I hope it's not ANOTHER...

Possible to fix an aquacal heat exchanger?

A quick followup... a year and a half later and the heat pump is working fine with my JB Weld repair. Knock on wood!

    Dreaded Jandy Aquapure problems... 172 & 181

Thanks for the response! The rs8 controls the settings (%'s, boost, etc) but the entire unit is powered on and off with the pump relay. During the installation, I powered it on and off a few times to "reset" the aquapure. SO... I let the unit run overnight on low speed and sure enough, this...

    Dreaded Jandy Aquapure problems... 172 & 181

So... I have the dreaded error codes 172 & 181. I've done the front board test and the readings are all within 1-2 from the specs listed in the manuals. That lead me to think it's a trisensor problem. Since it was the older white base sensor I ordered a new black model with the mini flow board...

Possible to fix an aquacal heat exchanger?

So after quite a few calls and some research; The only way to get a replacement top portion to the heat exchanger was to purchase an entire new exchanger. This would run $1400 to $1800 for the part alone, which is WAY to expensive IMHO and out of the question. Honestly, at that price I'd rather...

Possible to fix an aquacal heat exchanger?

It's a "south beach" model with titanium. The leak in on the top plate and I thought the titanium was just a coating inside since the material is so expensive.

Possible to fix an aquacal heat exchanger?

I have a aqualcal heat pump that has sprung a leak on the top of the heat exchanger. It's near one of the PVC pipes and I can visibly see a fine stream of water coming out. Here's my question... Assuming my warranty is out on the unit, what are my options? Can just the top of the heat...

    Screened porch for 45x12 pool?

Like JohnT mentioned... you'll need footers around the perimeter to support the screen cage.

2-speed pump compability with Jandy Aqualink controller

Oh yeah... You'll need a dual speed relay to run the pump. I bought mine, new in box, for around $50 on eBay.

2-speed pump compability with Jandy Aqualink controller

Pretty sure you'll need to confirm the firmware revision on the aqualink and cross check with Jandy/zodiac. You should be able to open the panel, unscrew the control board and see the revision letter on the back of the board. Cut the power to the entire subpanel before attempting FYI. Also...

I need a Jandy/Zodiac dual speed relay... does it exist?

I completely forgot about the service factor. It wasn't listed on the motor but finding the replacement motor from A.O.Smith/ Centurion indicates that motor is actually a 2hp motor with a service factor of 1.3 SO... I guess I'm in the clear then. Correct?

I need a Jandy/Zodiac dual speed relay... does it exist?

I have a Jandy Stealth 2.5hp, dual speed pump (Model: SHPM2.5) and a Jandy RS8 controller/power center on a new pool install. I'm supplying all of the equipment and the installer is just setting it up for me. The installer needs a dual speed relay to work with the rs8/power center. I ordered a...

    2 pump plumbing diagram critique!

I actually added that 2nd hose connection so I can utilize the main pool drain (the lowest drain in the pool) in case I need to completely drain the pool. Regarding the solar; I plan on having enough space to add that in the future. Thanks for your feedback!
