I think I might need a new pump?

I unscrewed all of the connections, cleaned everything, and put it back together and it works. Thanks for your help! Several things came out of this: You saved me from buying a new pump My wife is now OK that I bought a multimeter a month ago I know how to install my SWG

I think I might need a new pump?

All I did was touch a voltage regulator to several places on it to know power was getting to it, but nothing more specific than that yet. Will look into checking the different wires. My current timer is an Intermatic (E10694 I think, picture attached). Honestly, I don't ever use the timing...

I think I might need a new pump?

Finally got the the screw out by using a Dremel. I guess the good news is there was no power going to L1 nor L2, so the timer seems to be the issue. Any suggestion on what to get as a replacement? It'll be powering both the pump and a SWG.

How would you break the screw off? I've been working on it for 30 minutes without success.

I think I might need a new pump?

Thanks for all the info. I tried getting to L1 and L2 but one of the screws holding the cap on won't turn. Just applied some silicone lubricant and will try again in a bit. Any suggestions to get it to turn?

I think I might need a new pump?

I think my pump might be dead. Any suggestions on figuring out for sure and/or what pump to get instead? I'm really late getting the pool going this year. Just drained it and had it cleaned. When I went to test power to the pump and flipped the timer to on, nothing happened. I used a voltage...

A couple questions before putting in a SWG

Ok, I'll do that. Although, what's the point of testing TA and CH and the TFP guidance then? I'll have to test the water from the hose to see what it is, but haven't filled anything since last year.

A couple questions before putting in a SWG

Been tied up but trying to get this finished. I checked my pool chemicals and I have: ph: 8 TA: 110 CH: 225 CYA: not sure (accidentally crushed my tube and am ordering a new one) Salt: probably around 0 (ordering tests) Chlorine: 0 It sounds like I shouldn't worry about TA until I get...

A couple questions before putting in a SWG

That's a good question. I would guess that that patio portion next to the house does, but don't know for sure. I'm not sure about the portion that directly surrounds the pool. There are a couple places where it has cracked, which makes me think it might not, but I am not very knowledgeable in...

A couple questions before putting in a SWG

Here's two pictures. It's concrete that extends ~3' from the pool. Beyond that, wood deck for ~50%, garden ~25%, and concrete patio ~25%.

A couple questions before putting in a SWG

In prepping to install a SWCG I purchased, it looks like my pool is not bonded. I'm not sure how old my pool is (we purchased the home two years ago), but the pump is not bonded and I do not see any bare copper wires by any of the equipment. Where do people go from here? I suppose the answer...
