No doubt. Foreman says they had 30-40 going. Hoping to have it cured and seasoned by Christmas. Santa is going to sip Irish coffee in the spa before sledding on!

Greece in Georgia - Taking Bids

Taking Forever...my bad for not putting a performance timeline in the contract. (Note to others) The squabble was blamed on increased demand for work crews, but the deck team was just a 2-man show. Some days they'd show...some days not. Nothing else was ongoing and after a month the PB stopped...

So...this will be one of those war stories. Had to flex with the threat of legal action to make the PB move. The decking took 4 months since early July to complete, and nothing else was done during that time. Finally just got them to install the 2 tcell940 salt cells and 2 GVA24 valve actuators...

G'day. Things are going but s-l-o-w-l-y. Guess I'll have a war story to tell when it's all done. Digging started at the end of April, but they're still working on the deck (2-man crew since July 3) and bits and pieces are unfinished. I know there's been a crush of folks getting pools this...

I watched them take time with measurements. I am still impatient for the whole thing to be done, but I appreciate not getting the details rushed. As for the looks...when the sun hits the tiles they do glow. Happy so far.

Slow going, but getting there. Electric, propane and plumbing all done. The tile crew started this week after the late spring rains subsided.

Roger that. Had the site manager out, and it did turn out that the width was cut to form not to water width. A failure to communicate. They'll back out that cost. I don't want to start from scratch. Turns out with people trapped at home for the summer, they've been up to their elbows in calls...

Specified height to middle of the skimmers/water height. Put out a call to PB to chat before rebar goes in.

Measured 53" to the center of the skimmers from the floor of the excavation. Water depth desired is 48", which leaves 5" for rebar and concrete on the floor under the pool floor. Does that seem appropriate? Width of the excavated walls measures 20' but the contract calls for a 20' wide pool...

So after 2 days of excavation...

So true...there will certainly be a LOT of that!

Right you are. Already discussed with the PB. Changed to 12" so the toddlers can chase the adults out of their loungers. I'd thought about a little deeper, but some of the loungers would be submerged.
