It’s pretty darn close. We got several inches of rain. I can only see the top screw on the skimmer

Can rain affect an OCLT?? It poured buckets last night.

Still slamming 😞 I thought I was getting close but I lost 3.5 again last night.

I can see why people give up!! It’s so deceiving- in the past, I would have stopped super chlorinating with a clear pool 😳 no wonder I had issues

Still SLAMing, but only lost 2.5 ppm during last nights OCLT. My CYA is down to 40 after water loss from swimming/splashing/evaporation and adding water both manually and by rain… so my new target is 16 ppm which is definitely helping with how much bleach is needed

Only lost 3.5 ppm for past night’s OCLT!

I’m headed in the right direction, I think. Bottom left was this morning, bottom right taken now. Taking my ladder out now for deep cleaning

I didn’t answer your question. It has screw holes so I’d bet my bottom dollar there may be algae inside. I didn’t even think of that. I’ll get it back out after the kids swim today and try flushing it

It’s 18 ppm now @ 11:30. I had been doing that process. I’m going to get the kids in to swim and brush while they’re at it after lunch. One thing I did notice is that the test sample would be clear with no pink at all then I’d leave it for a few minutes to add bleach and upon return, the water...

Now I’m confused. Both my readings at 9 and now (1100), it is 20 ppm, no FC loss. Pool is in Direct sun. CC 0. I’m curious as to why my overnight loss is so great but today my daytime loss is minimal? I was 3-5 ppm down every 2-4 hours yesterday during the day.

I’ll keep at it! Obviously I still have an issue! Thanks

Wow really? Its the clearest it’s ever been IMO. That’s interesting. I guess I didn’t realize this was considered cloudy!

There is absolutely nothing visible algae wise. Whatever the chlorine is eating at is not visible to the eye unless it’s in the PVC or flex piping/return jet- but I’d imagine SLAM would eradicate that?
