We did rectangle too and I understand your constraints with the cover; we added a baja that juts out the side and we LOVE it. So glad we have one for relaxing, dogs and kids to play, etc.

The same thing happened to us yesterday! Told us to add acid and now it's wicked cloudy. I am getting advice on another thread, but very similar to your situation. So frustrating.

I just looked it up and the NPC guide is what is on the company website. Nobody even told us about this. Now I'm panicking! We are doing it ourselves. The builder just said don't add salt for 30d, brush it daily and monitor the water... I feel we are chasing our tails at Leslies, it's expensive...
