I feel the same, never seem to go away. some days it's not as bad as others.

the only reason i think mine might be algae or dead algae is because I found and caught at least 4 water boatman bugs while swimming yesterday. I don't see a reason for them to be there if they don't have algae to eat.

Hey all .. well, I am still kinda struggling with these brownish "dust" spots at the bottom of the pool, mostly in low spots and seams. I feel it's worse when my pool pump runs on high for some reason. When you get close and wave your hand it poofs and vanishes. I am not sure if it's dead algae...

So, yesterday. I vacuumed for 9 hours, 3 hours at a time and cleaning the vacuum filters in between. Throughout the day while it was running, I went out and brushed wherever I see these spots appear (mostly low spots at the bottom). Later I've noticed that there was a thin layer that formed on...

I wouldn't say I see all three, maybe a bit of brown/dark green. When I brush the bottom I can see some "dust" trailing behind the brush. I just brushed, vacuum is running, will do an OCLT tonight and report my findings tomorrow morning. Thanks.

I will have to look closely tomorrow when I brush. I guess light brownish...

I have noticed these "dusty" spots at the bottom of the pool. When I brush, it looks like a poof of dust. Does it look like MA (might have to zoom the photo). I have never noticed it on the walls or anything, just the bottom ? Thanks

Will keep MA on hand and manage my pH, lower and let it rise and lower again, which in turn hopefully will bring TA down over time. Thanks guys !
